There are summer weekends when Pas de la Casa changes pace. You notice it in the square, in the trail shoes slung over a shoulder, in the freshly collected race bib, and in that high-altitude air that makes you want to move. From 13 to 16 August 2026, Travessa Pas de la Casa returns, already a fixed date in Andorra\u2019s mountain calendar. It is the kind of race that genuinely fits the character of the village: altitude, climb, rock, wide views and no unnecessary polish.<\/p>\n

This year, at Frontera Blanca, we are especially happy to remain linked to the event as official collaborators. And although our apartments will not be open for bookings this summer, we still wanted to tell the part that matters: what happens in Pas de la Casa during those days, why the race is worth following, and the kind of atmosphere it brings to Grandvalira and this corner of Andorra when August is in full swing.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What Travessa Pas de la Casa 2026<\/h3>\n

<\/p>\n

\nTravessa Pas de la Casa 2026 will take place from 13 to 16 August, with the main hub in the church square and the start and finish of the main races on Carrer Abelletes next to the square.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This is not a race built for just one type of runner. The organisers have set up six routes for different levels: Kids 500 m, Estany 3 km, Nocturna Solid\u00e0ria 4 km, Directa 6 km, Antenes 10 km and Envalira 22 km. That changes everything. You can come for the atmosphere on a short route, come as a family, or come to test yourself on a serious high-mountain course.<\/p>\n

What makes it work is that the setting is not just scenery. It leads. Pas de la Casa sits above 2,000 metres and you feel that in your legs, in your breathing and in the way you read the ground. If you know Grandvalira in winter, in August you see a different side of it: rougher, more open, more rock and trail than snowy postcard.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A programme that fills Pas de la Casa with movement.<\/h3>\n

<\/p>\n

\nTravessa does not happen in a single morning. It starts on Thursday 13 August with bib and race pack collection in Escaldes-Engordany. On Friday 14, the atmosphere shifts fully into Pas de la Casa with the Sports Village in the church square, bib collection and the start of the charity night race in the evening.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Saturday 15 keeps the Village going and brings one of the moments that best explains the spirit of the event: Travessa Kids. Watching children run through the village changes the whole tone of the weekend. Suddenly it is not only about times, elevation or rankings. It is also about community, families out in the streets and a Pas de la Casa that, in summer, finds a different way to feel alive.<\/p>\n

On Sunday 16, from 8:00 am, the main races begin. That is when the sharper edge of the weekend returns: the early start, the nerves on the line, the last check of the gear and that strange silence in the seconds before the first steps. After that, the mountain takes over.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

What it brings to Pas de la Casa, Grandvalira and Andorra.<\/h3>\n

<\/p>\n

\nSome events simply pass through a place. Others belong there. Travessa Pas de la Casa clearly belongs in the second group. A race like this makes sense here: because of the altitude, because of the terrain and because of the direct relationship the village has with the mountain.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It also helps remind people of something that is easy to forget outside winter: Pas de la Casa is not only about snow. In summer it has shape, movement, sporting energy and a very direct connection to the most alpine side of Andorra. For people who return to Grandvalira season after season, seeing this landscape without skis helps them understand the place better. For first-time visitors, Travessa is a good reason to look at Pas beyond the border, the shopping or the quick stopover.<\/p>\n

At Frontera Blanca, as official collaborators of the race, we are especially pleased to support events that reinforce this idea of a destination with its own character. Our summer bookings will not be open this year, so this is not about selling an immediate stay. But it is still a good moment to say it clearly: if you like Pas de la Casa with rock, altitude and movement in August, picture coming back when all of that is covered in snow and Grandvalira starts again.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
