When you’re planning a ski holiday, choosing your apartment is only part of the preparation. You also need to decide where to collect your skis or snowboard, get your boots fitted and allow enough time to have everything ready before heading onto the slopes.
In Pas de la Casa, having a ski rental shop close to your accommodation makes that first part of the trip much easier.
That’s why Frontera Blanca works with Rentaski, a rental shop located within our complex, right next to our offices and close to the slopes of Grandvalira.
The advantage isn’t just the location. Our arrangement with the shop includes a priority service for Frontera Blanca guests, using a dedicated process in the group service area, subject to the service conditions.
Rentaski: collect your ski equipment close to your apartment and the slopes
Hiring ski equipment in Pas de la Casa shouldn’t mean having to walk across the village carrying your luggage.
Rentaski is located on Avinguda d’Encamp, within the Frontera Blanca building, next to our offices and close to the access points for the ski slopes.
This location is particularly convenient when you’re travelling with your family, need to hire several sets of equipment or arrive with limited time.
You can organise your accommodation and ski equipment in the same area, without arranging another journey just to collect your skis.
The shop offers ski and snowboard equipment. When choosing what to hire, the most important thing isn’t selecting the most advanced equipment, but finding something suitable for your ability.
Someone who’s learning to ski needs different equipment from someone who already skis confidently. Explaining your experience helps the rental team guide you towards a suitable choice.
It’s also worth checking exactly what’s included in each rental: skis, boots, poles, a snowboard, a helmet or any other equipment you may need.
A package described as complete doesn’t necessarily mean every accessory is included.
The goal is simple: get onto the snow with suitable equipment, without spending more time than necessary travelling around to prepare for your ski day.
Priority service for Frontera Blanca guests
On busy days, collecting rental equipment can be one of the less enjoyable parts of a ski holiday.
Guests with individual bookings and customers arriving directly at the shop may turn up at the same time, while staff prepare and adjust equipment.
To make this stage of your stay easier, the partnership between Frontera Blanca and Rentaski includes priority service for our guests in the shop’s group service area.
This is a separate process from the general customer service area, designed to make equipment collection more efficient.
How does the service work?
Before you arrive, our team will explain the conditions and procedure that apply to your booking.
That way, you’ll know where to go and how to identify yourself, rather than having to work everything out when you enter the shop.
Priority service doesn’t remove the need for the usual equipment checks. Ski boots must fit correctly, and each person’s equipment should match their experience and individual requirements.
We therefore recommend allowing enough time for collection, especially if you have a ski lesson booked afterwards.
For us, the real advantage is making travel arrangements simpler: accommodation, practical information and ski equipment rental coordinated from one place.
How to organise your rental and make the most of your first ski day
The sooner you know what everyone in your group needs, the easier it is to arrange equipment collection.
When asking Frontera Blanca about ski rental, it’s helpful to provide:
- Your skiing dates and how many days you’ll need the equipment.
- How many people will be hiring equipment, including any children.
- Who needs skis and who would prefer a snowboard.
- Each person’s approximate ability: beginner, intermediate or advanced.
- Whether you need boots, helmets or other accessories, so you can confirm what’s included in each option.
If your group includes people of different abilities, there’s no need for everyone to hire the same category of equipment.
It’s more sensible to choose equipment that suits each person and consider whether anyone will be taking lessons during the stay.
It’s also worth confirming the collection arrangements before travelling. This will help you understand the procedure for your booking and plan when to allow time for trying on your equipment.
Even though the shop is next to the apartments, it’s best not to leave boot fitting until the final few minutes before a lesson begins.
And remember that equipment rental, lift passes and ski lessons are separate services, although we can help you arrange them together.
At Frontera Blanca, our buildings are directly opposite the slopes in Pas de la Casa. We offer Classic, Confort and Premium apartments, with a minimum stay of 3 nights.
Our team can also help you organise lift passes, ski lessons and equipment hire, making it easier to plan your stay.
